Pistachio is a smart, affectionate girl who’s ready to give her whole heart to the right person. She thrives with structure, guidance, and someone willing to advocate for her, and she’s wonderfully responsive to training thanks to her love of snacks and her eagerness to learn. She enjoys car rides, quiet outings, and spending time with her people — though it’s worth noting she’s a bit of a ladies’ girl and can decide pretty quickly that men just aren’t her cup of tea.

One of Pistachio’s most charming quirks is her devotion to her stuffed animals and toys. Each day she carefully selects a favorite, carries it proudly to her bed, and makes sure it’s perfectly safe and cozy — sometimes even choosing to sleep on the floor so her beloved toy gets the best spot. It’s equal parts hilarious and heart-melting.

Pistachio would do best in an experienced, adult-only home without other dogs, though she could potentially live with cats given thoughtful introductions. She’s loyal, expressive, and full of personality — even if she does have some strong opinions about things like vaccines and nail trims. With patience and understanding, Pistachio will blossom into an incredibly devoted companion for someone lucky enough to earn her trust

Note, the adoption fee for a pet adopted from Pembina Valley Humane Society includes their spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccines and boosters, and a post-adoption veterinary exam at a local clinic.
