IN FOSTER

Let’s get one thing out of the way first: puppies are wonderful, adorable agents of chaos.

They will steal your socks, inspect every stick like it’s a priceless artifact, sprint around the yard at warp speed for absolutely no known reason, and somehow fall asleep in the middle of the floor five minutes later. They’ll make you laugh, test your patience, and convince you that your heart can somehow grow three sizes in a matter of weeks.

Little Miss Nobu is all of that… and then some.

With her stunning blue eyes and brilliant little brain, Nobu approaches every day like it’s her mission to take it on. She’s growing up in a foster home with another dog and a cat, where she’s busy mastering puppy manners and discovering that learning is actually a whole lot of fun. She loves using her brain, figuring out new puzzles, and showing off just how clever she is.

Of course, she’s still a puppy. That means she occasionally believes every leaf is an intruder and requires chasing, every toy should be squeaked at maximum volume and speed, and every hypothetical button must be pushed.

The truth about puppies is that they’re wonderfully, perfectly, and adorably inconvenient. They’ll wake you up early, make you laugh until your stomach hurts, and remind you that perfection isn’t the goal, progress is. One day you’ll be celebrating a successful “sit,” and before you know it you’ll have a loyal companion who knows your routines, greets you every day at the door like you’ve been gone for years, and somehow you can’t imagine a world without them.

That’s the magic of raising a puppy. You don’t just adopt a dog, you are a part of their journey towards the incredible adult they’ll become.

Nobu is looking for a family ready to embrace the adventure. Someone who will keep her mind busy, continue her training, appreciate her hilarious antics, and remember that behind every mischievous puppy moment is a future best friend in the making.

So, if you’ve got a sense of humour, a pocket full of treats, and room in your heart for a smart, spirited little sidekick, Nobu is ready to turn your ordinary days into unforgettable ones.

Note, the adoption fee for a pet adoption from the Pembina Valley Humane Society includes their spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccines and boosters, and a post-adoption exam at a local clinic.
