Looking for a loyal sidekick with a heart potentially bigger than his paws? Meet Pluto, a big, tan boy with an even bigger personality and an endless supply of love to give.

Pluto is the definition of a “people dog.” He adores everyone he meets and isn’t shy about showing it—whether it’s a full-body tail wag, a happy bounce, or leaning in for affection. If you’re looking for a companion who will greet you like you’re the best part of his day (every single day), Pluto is your guy.

This handsome boy is motivated by just about everything—food, toys, and most importantly, you. That makes him a wonderful candidate for continued training and bonding. He already walks nicely on a leash and enjoys getting out for strolls and playtime. He’s playful without being overwhelming, and his joyful energy is contagious.

Pluto gets along well with other dogs and has shown polite indifference toward cats so far, though he hasn’t been fully tested yet. With proper introductions, he has the potential to fit into a variety of homes.

Right now, Pluto is on a health management plan to help him reach his ideal weight. Once he’s there, he’ll be neutered and ready to start his next chapter with a new family. In the meantime, he’s soaking up all the love and care he can get—and giving it right back tenfold.

Note, the adoption fee for a pet adoption from the Pembina Valley Humane Society includes their spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccines and boosters, and a post-adoption exam at a local clinic.
