The 10th Annual Raise the Woof Comedy Night is a go! This year we’ll be at the Days Inn Conference Centre on Friday, September 24, 2021.
This year we will be entertained by the comedy stylings of Michael Greene, Emmanuel Lomuro, and our headliner Scott Belford!
Dinner from Flavours of Mexico will be served at 6pm, with the show to start at 8pm.
There will be lots of prizes to win including the return of our famous Mystery Bags, as well as your chance to win a roundtrip flight for two guests to any regularly scheduled and marketed WestJet destination*!
Tickets are $40 per person (rush seating) or a full table for $290.

**All COVID protocols at the time of the event will be followed. Masks and proof of vaccination required. Should the show be affected by the pandemic, 50% of the ticket price will be refunded.
Kids Colouring Contest
If you’re struggling to find ways to keep your kids entertained and busy this summer, have them enter the Kids Colouring Contest! One child from each age group will win an opportunity to spend an hour cuddling cats at the shelter. Simply download the colouring page in your child’s age range below (either the cat or the dog); return the picture to the shelter at 462 Jefferson Street BEFORE AUGUST 28, and their art will be featured on our social media and on the walls of the shelter!
Please write your child’s name and the name of the parent/guardian, along with their phone number and age on the BACK of the picture, so we know who to contact when we randomly draw our winner!

Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Miami Golf & Country Club
The Into the Ruff Golf Tournament is an opportunity to enjoy beautiful Manitoba scenery, a round of golf, and the warm-fuzzy feeling of making a difference for all the many cats and dogs that need your help.
Carts for teams will be available for this Texas Scramble! Shotgun start at 10am. Enjoy a pulled pork sandwich on a fresh, homemade bun alongside a salad (A vegetarian option is available), and a swag bag. There will also be a drink cart available (cash bar) and plenty of opportunities to purchase mulligans for a nominal fee that goes straight to supporting the Pembina Valley Humane Society’s programs and services.
After a beautiful morning of birdies and bogies we will sit outside to a delicious, socially distanced meal. Prizes will be awarded for longest drive and closest to the pin, and silent auction will be available.

In the past year, we have rehomed 164 animals and supported adopters in choosing the best possible pet for their world. Every animal adopted meant we had room to house one more. One more animal safe from the cold. One more who could finally find a place to call home. One more who’s people could be confident they were in good hands. By participating in our “Paw-tery”, you are not only supporting these animals. You are allowing us to grow our programs working alongside individuals with special needs, schools, volunteers, and the public. By purchasing a ticket to potentially win big, you are helping us to further our reach, build our educational programming, and continue developing sustainable, proactive community care.
Pembina Valley PAWLooza – March 26 – April 2
From March 26th – April 2nd, support local businesses while supporting important services in the Pembina Valley. A variety of businesses around the Winkler/Morden area will be selling specific products, with proceeds going to both Genesis House and the Pembina Valley Humane Society.

Grab your Spayghetti dinner in honor of Spay and Neuter month!
Our annual Spayghetti fundraiser will take place on Friday, February 19th. Chef Kevin Funk will be whipping up some delicious spaghetti, meat sauce, salad and garlic bread. There is a vegetarian option available.
There are 3 available time slots to choose from. You can either request delivery (in Winkler and Morden only) or pick up at the shelter.
You will receive a tax receipt for a portion of your meal ticket.

Did you add a new member to your family, or are thinking about adopting a dog? Perhaps you want a more in depth understanding of your dog. Register for an online educational seminar with Tracie of No Bad Dogs!
Tracie will be covering topics such as Dog Language and Communication, Housetraining and Boundaries, Learning Theory and more. You’ll also have an opportunity to ask questions during the seminar.
