Velvet-Spring Break Adventure: 50% less cost, 100% more love
Velvet is showing off her goofy, lovable puppy personality more and more every day!
Velvet has come a long way since arriving in foster care! She’s still a high-energy, adventure-loving pup, but she’s learning fast and making huge strides in her training.
Potty training? She’s crushing it! She just had her first full day and night accident-free and now runs to the door when she needs to go out. She’s also picking up on basic commands and has “sit” mastered. Even vacuums don’t phase her!
She still needs lots of reminders about boundaries and personal space—she’s a total pest to the resident dog and cats and just can’t seem to leave them alone. We’re also working on stairs, which are still a bit intimidating for her.
A big change this week (aside from her ears standing up!) is that she’s starting to be more interested in people! She now follows the kids—or me—around and actually seeks out attention. She’s also learned her name and comes when called!
She’s great with kids, doesn’t jump, and is learning to curb her nipping with lots of redirection to toys. She’s not much of a cuddle-on-the-couch kind of dog—she’d rather be playing, exploring, or finding her next adventure.
She’s full of personality, a little bit of mischief, and so much potential. Every day, she’s getting better, learning more, and showing off what a fun and lovable pup she is!
