Fern
Fern is sniffing out the trail that leads to her own cozy home!
Fern is a true farm girl at heart, happiest when she’s out in the fresh air with space to run and new scents to follow. Her big, floppy ears are impossible to ignore, especially when they bounce with every step she takes. She’s got a free spirit and a love for adventure, always eager to explore—though she sometimes needs a little help staying on track. A long-line walk where she can sniff to her heart’s content? That’s her idea of a perfect day.
She gets along well with other dogs and is pretty good with cats, as long as they don’t run (then it’s a game she can’t resist). New environments make her a bit nervous, but with patience and kindness, she learns to trust. She’s still figuring out some of life’s basics, but ear rubs and treats go a long way in helping her feel at ease. She loves to climb, I think with all the time she spends with her nose down, she likes the perspective she gets being up high on something!
Fern will also sometimes make little grunt or mumbling noises just for the heck of it—sometimes to herself, sometimes to whoever’s nearby, like she’s narrating her own thoughts.
