Chandler prefers gentle introductions to new friends and spaces, taking his time.
** IN FOSTER **
Chandler’s personality is a bit difficult to understand. Upon first meeting someone, he keeps people at a distance and uses many defence mechanisms to keep himself safe (think less sarcasm, more hiding in a new environment).
Like Chandler Bing, when he first meets someone it’s usually panic, anxiety, and a great deal of sweating, so he needs someone patient and understanding to help him reach his full potential.
His foster is telling us that he is getting better and better each day…he now lets her pet him, he climbs onto her lap, and has very few issues with people or kids being close to him! He has become a big fan of chatter, enjoying holding conversations with his foster. He has also been very receptive to words of affirmation, like a good boy, and listens well when told to stop. He is goofy and playful and will steal your pastries if left unattended on the counter!
