12 Days of (Safe) Christmas Food

Your dog can join you at the Christmas dinner table…just be safe about it!

(NOTE: Remember, moderation is key, and always check with your veterinarian before introducing new foods into your dog’s diet.)  

On the first day of Christmas, my pup can eat with glee: A Slice of Tur-key handed down from me. 
Plain, cooked turkey (no bones, skin, or seasoning) 

On the second day of Christmas, my pup can eat with glee: Two mashed p’taters 
Plain, mashed potatoes (without butter, salt, or seasoning) 

On the third day of Christmas, my pup can eat with glee: Three salmon patties  
Cooked salmon (without added salt or seasonings)  

On the fourth day of Christmas, my pup can eat with glee: Four bites sweet potatoes 
Baked sweet potatoes (without butter, salt, or seasoning) 

On the fifth day of Christmas, my pup can eat with glee: Five Gol-den Ap-ple Rings  
Sliced or chopped apple rings (without seeds or core) 

On the sixth day of Christmas, my pup can eat with glee: Six bites of roast beef  
Cooked and sliced lean beef (no bones, fat, or seasonings) 

On the seventh day of Christmas, my pup can eat with glee: Seven turkey meatballs  
Turkey meatballs (no onions, garlic, or seasonings)  

On the eighth day of Christmas, my pup can eat with glee: Eight broccoli florets  
Steamed or boiled broccoli florets (plain and unseasoned)  

On the ninth day of Christmas, my pup can eat with glee: Nine yummy cheese cubes 
Plain cheese cubes (without any added spices or seasonings) 

On the tenth day of Christmas, my pup can eat with glee:  Ten delicious green beans 
Steamed or boiled green beans (plain and unseasoned) 

On the eleventh day of Christmas, my pup can eat with glee: Eleven cooked green peas  
Cooked peas (plain and unseasoned)  

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my pup can eat with glee: Twelve plain chopped Carrots 
Sliced or chopped carrots (plain and unseasoned)
