Medium Breed
Age: DOB: March 2022
Peggy is a sweet and affectionate girl, who loves to give kisses! She’s usually pretty quiet, unless she wants to play…then she’ll let you know! She’s still learning what toys are all about, but she does enjoy playing. Because she is young, she will need some time working on life skills (although she seems to be mostly housetrained) but she is very treat motivated, so we think she will pick up on these things quickly. One rather unique and random fact about Peggy…she likes to sleep UNDER her Kuranda bed, not on it!
Peggy is nervous of new people and new situations; she can startle easily so her new family will need to do slow introductions to new environments to help her feel more comfortable. She does well with dogs her size and smaller; big dogs make her nervous but with time and patience, we feel she can overcome that nervousness.
Not sure about how a new dog will fit in with your family? Consider fostering Peggy for a few weeks! Fostering with the intention to adopt is a great way to see how Peggy fits in before making things official. While fostering, you’ll have full support from the PVHS for medical, behavioural, and supply needs! To get started, fill in a Foster Application!
