Makwa came to us recently, and we’ve learned in this short time that she is a spitfire! She is VERY affectionate and attentive to other people. She seems to be very well-mannered and gentle, but she does get a bit jumpy when she gets excited. She’s also housetrained and very quiet!

Like most young dogs, she loves to run and play, and seems to be interested in water…so she may be a swimmer! So far she seems to be good with other dogs she’s met, but we don’t know how she would do with cats; a slow introduction would be necessary.

Note, the adoption fee for a pet adopted from the Pembina Valley Humane Society includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines and boosters, and a post-adoption veterinary exam at a local clinic.
