Lucky is a shy girl; a bit nervous around new people and in new places.  However, once she is comfortable with you she is very affectionate and playful!  We have found her to be sweet, gentle, well-mannered, and housetrained.  She does well with calmer dogs that are her size or smaller.

Lucky just loved to be outside exploring, so an active or semi-active family would be best for her.  She loves nature and we think she would make a great camping buddy!  She can be a bit of a picky eater, but she is a bit of a princess so who can blame her?  She likes what she likes haha

Not sure about how a new dog will fit in with your family?  Consider fostering Lucky for a few weeks!  Fostering with the intention to adopt is a great way to see how Lucky fits in before making things official.  While fostering, you’ll have full support from the PVHS for medical, behavioural, and supply needs!  To get started, fill in a Foster Application!

Note, the adoption fee for a pet adopted from the Pembina Valley Humane Society includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines and boosters, and a post-adoption veterinary exam at a local clinic.
