Though small, Lexi has an enormous, quiet charm that wins over everyone. Despite initial shyness, she becomes a loyal, warm friend. Her calm presence brings ease to any situation. Lexi forms bonds with cats, dogs, and people. Resilient post-hernia surgery, she embodies positivity and strength with her tail-wagging grace.

Lexi required surgery after she was brought into our care; she had two hernias, a lump that required testing and due to extensive dental disease will need to have almost all of her teeth removed.  The estimated cost is approximately $1300-$1700…we have put together a fundraising page to help raise money to cover the cost of these surgeries, as well as other emergency cases totalling over $1000 in veterinary care.  Funds will be directed into our Emergency Animal Fund to cover these unexpected costs…if you are able to do so, please consider making a donation to help.

Note, the adoption fee for a pet adopted from the Pembina Valley Humane Society includes their spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines and boosters, and a post-adoption veterinary exam at a local clinic.
