* IN FOSTER *
What Hector lacks in size, he makes up for with his sheer zest for life! This little man is very friendly, and outgoing and loves to be around people. He thinks he’s a macho tough guy (he’s very curious and isn’t afraid of anything) but is really a softie who loves laying in a cozy bed with a chew toy.
He has shown himself to be mostly housetrained and as smart as a whip; he loves to do all kinds of food puzzles! Unless he really REALLY wants something, he rarely barks. Cats are generally okay if they give him space, but does have a bit of “little dog syndrome” with big dogs.
Hector has tested positive for lyme disease, which is something that will need monitoring for the rest of his life. However, if properly maintained, he will be able to be just like a normal dog.
Dogs like Hector would greatly benefit from spending time in a foster home to help start them on the right path with their new families. It also helps us get a better idea of their personality in a home, which helps us find their perfect humans! Become a foster today and make a difference in the life of a shelter dog.
