Mona
A quiet companion with a surprisingly soft side
IN FOSTER
Mona is a gentle, well-mannered young lady who has worked hard to adjust to indoor life. She may have started her journey a little unsure of humans, but with patience and kindness, she’s blossoming into a sweet, affectionate little roommate.
Mona is the kind of cat who won’t climb your curtains, yell at you for snacks, or parkour off your countertops. Instead, she prefers peaceful days, cozy corners, and the safety of a calm home. She’s shy with new people at first, but give her some quiet opportunities to observe and she’ll open up. Her foster says she loves butt scratches, accepts being scooped up, and will even roll onto her back for gentle belly rubs—a rare honor not many cats offer!
She also has a soft, silly side: when her foster comes home, Mona sometimes flops dramatically to the floor as if to say “Oh thank goodness, you’re back—please adore me now.”
Mona is respectful with other animals, especially those who read her body language. She may give the occasional hiss to rowdy kittens, but she’s capable of peaceful coexistence, and her confidence grows every day.
If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, independent companion who will quietly appreciate your presence—and eventually greet you with her sweet, floppy welcomes—Mona just might be your girl. She’s still finding her courage, but her heart is wide open for the person willing to give her time, gentleness, and a safe place to land.
