Leo
If you love books, and cats, Leo checks all the boxes!
IN FOSTER
This orange dude is basically a lion, just slightly smaller and much more cuddly! This four-year-old orange king has known love, comfort, and what it means to belong — and now he’s ready to give his whole heart to his next forever home.
Leo is the kind of cat who doesn’t just walk into a room… he arrives. With his big sturdy frame, soft orange coat, and paws that were surely designed for gentle biscuits on warm blankets, he has mastered the art of being both majestic and ridiculously silly. He’ll chase a toy at full speed across the house, then flop in a sunbeam the next second, because he’s an adult he can do what he wants!
And while Leo loves attention, don’t underestimate his appreciation for the simple pleasures in life — especially books. His foster family insists he’s part literary critic, part bookmark. Whether you’re curled up reading or just left a book on the couch for two seconds, Leo will be there to flop across it, add his personal editorial stamp (fur), and keep you company while you read…if you can get it back from underneath him. If you’re the kind of person who dreams of cozy reading nights with a big orange cat sprawled across your lap or novel, you may have met your soulmate.
What makes Leo extra special is how quickly he bonds with his people. Once he chooses you, that’s it: you are his. He’ll follow you, sit with you, check in on you, and make sure you never forget how treasured you are. He is affectionate, charming, funny… and just independent enough to appreciate his alone time before returning for snuggles and companionship.
Leo has been a solo cat, and he prefers it that way. He isn’t interested in sharing the throne, he insists his love should only be shared with his people. He’s searching for a home where he can be the only pet, soaking up all the attention, all the ear scritches, all the book-reading time, and all the sunlit windows his heart desires.
Health-wise, Leo is a happy and healthy boy, with one small note: his vet recommends he stay on a dental food to support those handsome chompers, or have access to cat dental treats or chew sticks. Like many animals, as he ages there’s a possibility he could need some extractions, and he’s the kind of cat who will take everything in stride with love and trust. In short: he’s doing great, and with routine care he’s set up beautifully for a long, happy life.
