Jack is a super playful pup! He acts like a big puppy…very energetic and playful, and is a very bouncy dog (is he part kangaroo?  Part rabbit?  We don’t know!) He loves to spend as much time as he can running around outside!

He’s doing very well with his basic life skills…he has learned sit, lay down, stay, come, and is working hard on heel!  He tries so hard to be a good listener, even when he is so very excited…he gets little tippy-taps when he’s trying to control himself!

One of Jack’s favourite things is what we call a “gentle soft toy massacre”…he’s very precise when it comes to tearing apart toys, and loves the enrichment that it provides.

We are finding though that, after spending so much time in the shelter (he came into our care in January, 2024) he’s starting to struggle in the shelter environment…he’d be a great candidate for fostering!

Since he came into our care, we have found he can be reactive around dogs, so a slow introduction will be critical to ensure harmony. A home without cats would be ideal as he doesn’t have any manners when it comes to them!
Note, the adoption fee for a pet adopted from the Pembina Valley Humane Society includes their spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines and boosters, and a post-adoption veterinary exam at a local clinic.
