Domestic Short Hair
Ducky came to us as a very sick kitten. She had a horrible upper respiratory infection, as well as ear mites and was underweight. Due to the severity of the upper respiratory infection and her age at the time this is something that she unfortunately have to battle with for the rest of her life. Potential adopters must be aware that she will always be a loud raspy breather and will need to be on antibiotics periodically when her flare ups get bad. High stress environments tend to result in a flare up so a home without young children would be ideal for her. Although she has to deal with her condition everyday she still finds joy in the small things like playing with her foster mom’s dog’s tale or her foster mom’s hair. She is a fearless girl who isn’t afraid of much. Her foster mom says that she is great at helping with the vacuuming and that her favorite part is the beater bar. She is also very curious about water and will often hop in the shower with her foster mom and sit just our of reach of the water. Ducky would thrive in an environment that is fairly calm and quite where she could potentially be an indoor/outdoor cat. She loves other cats and dogs once she has gotten used to them, so a home with both or either would be a definite bonus for this sweet girl!
